Biography : who is Clara Bellon ?
Clara Bellon was born in Réunion Island and spent her childhood overseas. Concurrently studying for her engineer degree in Geology, she quickly became fascinated by lyrical voices and started her career alongside the soprano voice Ghyslaine Raphanael and the bass voice Jean-Philippe Courtis. As a Soprano Coloratura, she has been working with artists such as Annick Massis, Françoise Pollet, Hubert Humeau, Marcel Vanaud and Malcolm Walker.
On stage, she performed the Fire (L'Enfant et les Sortilèges by Ravel), Gabrielle (La Vie parisienne by Offenbach), the famous tune of Cunégonde (Glitter and be Gay) in Candide by Bernstein during the festival of “Carré d’As young talents” which took place in December 2016 in Eure-et-Loir, and the role of the doll Olympia (Les Oiseaux dans la charmille aria) in Les Contes d'Hoffman by Offenbach during the Festival des Forêts de Compiègne in July 2017.
In May 2017, Clara Bellon was invited to sing as a canticle soloist for Saint-Benoit de Jacob de Haan in the basilica Sacré-Coeur in Grenoble alongside the harmonic orchestra of the city of Chartres (directed by René Castelain). In July 2018, she acted the part of Zerlina in Don Giovanni by Mozart in the castle of Rochambeau for the philharmonic orchestra of Arad State (conducted by Amaury du Closel and produced by Niki Ellinidou).
In Paris in April 2019, Clara Bellon played the role of the Queen of the Night in the famous opera Die Zauberflötte by Mozart (conducted by Jean-Michel Ferran and produced by Didier Henry). In 2019, she joined the lyrical studio of the Palais des Beaux-arts in Charleroi (Belgium) with which she performed – among others – the role of Frasquita in Carmen by Bizet (directed by Philippe Gérard and produced by Dorian Fourny).
Her repertoire also includes baroque music and sacred music of which she is particularly fond of.
